I’ve been looking at the MLS data from 2011 and it is quite informative. Last year the hottest selling category for single family units in Lincoln County was homes priced between $150,000 and $200,000 with a total of 103 sales. The next best selling price range was $200,000 to $249,999 (80) but it was very close to the $100,000 to $149,999 category (79). I actually enjoy statistics. The Market and the Weather are both improving!
It is a new year, and the winter weather at the coast has been very mild. On New Years Day I played 9 holes of golf with my husband and enjoyed being in the park-like setting of the Salishan Golf Course. Here at the office, everyone is feeling very optimistic as the real estate market seems to continue to normalize….if you call our new lower prices normal! With interest rates low and buyers coming back though, the Oregon Coast real estate market is feeling positive!

It’s always a great day at the beach! This week has been rainy, windy, and wet, but it is green, clean and beautiful. Winter is a slow time for selling real estate, but the buyers who are looking now are truly motivated. Sellers need to be motivated too!
